  i have recently been given the privilege of taking the field service group.. .

  can anyone give me some scriptures i can use to encourage the group?

  can you also give a reason as to why these scriptures are helpful to our ministry.. .

  Panters, yes there are some witnesses here. Most of them are still in for family reasons, to get their loved ones out. There are also a few active believers here that are trying their best to preach the watchtower dogma.

  In fact, this site startes as a site for active JW's, but the possibility of being anonymous here and to raise questions in open discussion made a lot of the earliest members here fade or dissasociate.

  Of course active JW's are welcome here. Some members might be provoked, if they have ben treated very bad and disfellowshipped, but I hope everyone will treat you good. But there will certainly be some jokes you will hear.

  " Although my favorite line has to be from an article I remember on masturbation back in the early-mid-80s (probably 1984, if memory serves). Seems like they had several articles on the subject right around that time. Regarding whether it was really a serious sin or not, it reasoned - I swear I am not making this up (but then again I was just a wee lad so my recollection may not be perfect): "Would you masturbate in front of the congregation?" How in the hell do you even begin to reply to such an asinine question?

  BTW, ten bucks to whoever can find the article first ;)"

  shortly after signing the rental agreement , the school authorities discovered that the group was, in reality, the notorious missionary sect of "jehovah's witnesses".

  Hmmm, JWs and universalists are the hardest ones, that's interesting.

  Normal fundamentalists are very honest, like telling ;"you are going to hell" etc......but universalist hide behind a liberal intellectual facade..

  Maybe in a way there might be the same dishonesty among JW's expressing thier true beliefs. A JW is trained to spread the word , not to discuss his/her personal wiews. A preaching JW is in "field service" mode, not in his/her true personal mode. When things get a bit tough a trained JW will change subject or leave the discussion.

  OK, some thoughts from me.........I think this subject is really interesting. It's probably about psychology, maybe also abut cgnitive dissonance.

  At least the WTS/JWs get some attention on the web! I wonder if there is anything that has said or done by the WTS that has been observed by so many.

  

  But how on eatrh could the WTS put up that video! It's almost incredible. Sometimes I feel a little pitty for the "wanking brothers" in that viral video.
